Lurking in a computer box…
Was a large ground spider.
Although not a common occurrence, these large arachnids do come up to the house from time to time. If they are spotted, they sometimes get killed by our house critters. I suspect our dogs stress them out before the cats finish them off.
Sometimes they come right into the house like the one above, which when positioned like in the second picture, is about the length of an index finger. I would love to find out just how venomous they are and what they feed on.
I don't think I've ever encountered furry spider at home. First time I saw this species. Lots poisonous to me..

ReplyDeleteThat's a mature male tarantula. not sure what species though. He was out lookin' for love :)
