Paphiopedilum niveum (Jan 2012)

This Paphiopedilum niveum which was given me by a friend is finally blooming! Was very happy to find three flower buds developing back in December (see http://www.sarawaklens.com/2011/12/paphiopedilum-sp-finally-flowering.html).


There are two flowers currently in bloom with one unopened bud which looks like it may be aborted but I hope not.


I've had this small plant for about 2 or more years now, been waiting for it to flower since getting it from a friend. A nice start to the year. :)
