Vanda Pakchong Blue
Vanda Pakchong Blue is a cross between Vanda Doctor Anek and Vanda coerulea. I got this small and compact plant from LC in KL. It is an easy bloomer and adds a nice splash of color to my very green orchid house.
As you can see from this photo, the plant is very small but can grow to a much larger size. Due to its compact and small size, it produces only a few flowers (about 3 or 4) each time. Personally, I like it this way and hope it stays nice and compact. It receives bright light with a 50% grade shade cloth over it and gets plenty of natural rain water. Potted with bricks, charcoal and chopped pieces of tree-fern.
The flowers actually have a very slight fragrance and are very long lasting, as long as the moth caterpillars don't get to them!
