Photos taken on a rainy day, poor light. It looks a lot like Dendrobium phillipsii but I’m not really sure if that’s what it is as D. phillipsii is supposedly found only in the Philippines. A rather delicate species, no keikis yet after a few years which makes me a bit nervous. Will give it a new mount soon; currently growing on a piece of wood but I think I’ll tie it to a tree and let it go wild.

Good evening!

Will get up to speed again soon. Busy busy busy!
Meanwhile, enjoy this beauty, bathed in warm evening light from the setting sun!

Dendrobium sp. Sorry, the exact species name escapes me.

Dendrobium anosmum season

Anosmums are blooming in every corner of my shade house, giving off an amazing berry-like smell. Together with my other blooming orchids such as the very fragrant Vanda Mimi Palmer, fragrant coelogynes and cattleyas, the orchid house is like an aroma therapy spa at the moment...

Dendrobium_anosmumPeak flowering period, photo taken about two weeks ago… not as many flowers as the previous peak season but still nice!

The peak flowering period for my anosmum plants may be over but some plants are still producing flowers…
